The 28-year old American from Pittsburgh (CA) has over 26 million followers on Instagram, which makes her a certified heavyweight.

Apart from making funny videos, Amanda also leads her millions of followers in living a healthy lifestyle. She is a fitness and diet expert and has her unique routine that ensures she stays camera-ready always.

Amanda Cerny Workout Routine

Cerny has arguably one of the most gorgeous bodies in the world, and she has maintained it over the years through a lot of hard work. She is very active, as is evident in her videos, but there is more than that. She does cardio seven days a week, is a yoga master and does a tonne of bodyweight exercises to boot.

She is also an expert at combining diet and exercise to maintain that feminine, toned body that so many women wish for.

On a typical week, she does several workouts to target different muscles.

  • Mountain climber –  Do 4 sets for 30 seconds each.
  • Bridge lift – 4 sets each lasting 30 seconds.
  • Leg raise – 4 sets, with each lasting 30 seconds.
  • Forward lunge – 4 sets, each lasting 30 seconds.
  • Sumo squat jump – 4 sets, each going for 30 seconds.

These are supposed to be high-intensity workouts, so you should rest only briefly between sets.

Amanda Cerny Ab Workout

  • Standard plank for 2 minutes, then a 30-second rest.
  • Side plank for 2 minutes, followed by a 30-second rest.
  • Repeat the side plank for the other side including the rest.
  • Standard plank for 2 minutes.

Amanda Cerny Home Workout

This is a 12-minute workout that can be done at home without the need for any special equipment. It is a high intensity one, and you should first warm up by doing 5 minutes of cardio.

  • 15 thrusters with dumbbells.
  • 15 burpees.
  • 15 front raises with dumbbells.
  • 15 Ab crunches.

Rest for 30 seconds between sets, and repeat as many times as possible within the 12 minutes.

For Cardio, Cerny goes running for 5 miles or otherwise tackles the stair machine. She also does a lot of yoga to feel good and stay supple.

She believes in HIIT training (high intensity) and believes that just 7 minutes of it daily is enough to change lives. No matter how busy you are, you can always find 7 minutes to squeeze in a quick routine.

To Amanda, diet is the secret weapon. She credits her fabulous abs to a strict diet, with only a little exercise to keep them defined. 

One thing you should know about her is that she is a vegetarian since 2014. She avoids anything with meat, milk or eggs in it, and has even done a few videos showing how ‘harmful’ meat is. Whatever her reasons, she keeps to a strictly plant-based diet.

To this, she has bloodwork done three times a year to find out her nutrient levels. This is crucial for vegetarians as they miss out on some vital nutrients found in meat such as some essential amino acids.

On a typical day, she has 5 meals inclusive of snacks to keep up her energy levels.

  • Breakfast – Vegan pancakes with peanut butter and berries, or toast with peanut butter and chia berry jam.
  • A light salad with beans for protein.
  • For snacks, Cerny will have fruits, seeds, edamame or popcorn.

She advises not to go mad over nuts, or even to obsess over food in general. However, she does recommend a lot of quinoa, legumes, wholemeal bread, fruits, and vegetables. Like a true vegan, she keeps away from all animal products, as well as processed foods and artificial ingredients.

Amanda Cerny is all about lifestyle, which is the reason she has earned so many fans throughout the world. She is all about living full, action is very much part of her lifestyle. She once did a free fall out of a plane at the speed of 120mph and is a self-admitted adrenaline junkie.

However, Amanda hasn’t always been so famous. When she was young, she wanted to be an actor. So to jump-start her career, she posed for Playboy magazine’s playmate of the month for October 2011. It didn’t work out so well, so at the suggestion of a friend, she went into Vines and never looked back.

Did you know that she’s also interested in martial arts? Her mother is a master, and she earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do at 11 years.
