Channing Tatum Diet

Fighter Fuel

Tatum’s trainer had him working out for 30-45 minutes. At the same time, he placed a strong emphasis on his diet.

To get ready for Fighter, Tatum followed a strict Paleo diet. This is a diet that is designed to mimic what our hunter and gatherer ancestors ate. In this diet, you only eat foods found in nature. Here is a breakdown of the meals he had in a day:

Tatum usually has an egg and vegetable omelet.

For lunch, he likes to keep it lean and mean. When preparing for Fighter, he ate grilled chicken breasts, spinach, broccoli, and sweet potatoes.

Once in a while he would get creative and turn these ingredients into a pizza (with whole wheat crust).

His diner stuck to Paleo basics like turkey burgers and grilled vegetables.

Tatum’ munchies were unsalted nuts, organic fruit, and plain yogurt.

To incorporate a Paleo diet to your lifestyle, you can use this list as your guideline on what to eat:

  • Meat: Beef, lamb, chicken, turkey, pork, and others.
  • Fish and seafood: Salmon, trout, haddock, shrimp, shellfish, etc. Choose wild-caught if you can.
  • Eggs: Go for free-range, pastured or omega-3 enriched eggs.
  • Vegetables: Broccoli, kale, broccoli, peppers, onions, carrots, tomatoes, etc.
  • Fruits: Apples, bananas, oranges, pears, pineapples, avocados, strawberries, blueberries and more.
  • Tubers: Potatoes, sweet potatoes, yams, turnips, arrowroots, and others
  • Nuts and seeds: Almonds, macadamia nuts, walnuts, hazelnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and more.
  • Healthy fats and oils: Extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, and others.
  • Salt and spices: Sea salt, garlic, turmeric, rosemary, etc.

While on a Paleo Diet avoid sugar, grains, including bread and pasta, legumes like beans and lentils, dairy, some vegetable oils like soybean and corn oil, trans fats found in processed foods, artificial sweeteners, and highly processed foods.

A simple guideline would be: If it looks like it was made in a factory, don’t eat it.
